This book is part of a series of programs to bridge the gap between IBI programs and the Standardized Educational System. The book can be used at home, in the educational system and part of a specialized program. It is not limited to children with special needs but it designed and written in such a way to include this population.

The scribble book was designed to help the child learn how to hold a pencil and develop pre-printing skills in a fun and engaging way. The book is more than just a scribbling book, it works on speech development, math, reading skills, comprehension and sentence development while working on fine motor skills.

We have provided visual pictures for the child to see how to pick up and hold a pencil. At times, it may be difficult for the child to hold a pencil in the correct way, but, we feel it is important to teach the right steps, and to provide a fun and engaging environment. We want to take the pressure out of learning. Equally important for the child is to work on different skills at the same time.

Bonding and having fun with scribbling, while concentrating on other academic skills makes learning adventurous. We hope you enjoy the program. We are supporters of Inclusive Learning, and thus, have developed a program that can be used by all children in a classroom setting. Please visit us at www.able2learn.com for more programs.

    A must have program

Posted by Ikabandung on 2017 Sep 6th

I love this book. My son is having difficulty in fine motor. So, naturally , he doesn't like anything to do with fine motor activities. I have been looking for a program that can teach colouring and scribing step by step. And this book really suits with that.

Developmentally appropriate & icon based text

As a special education teacher who works with kindergarten & first grade students who are not yet literate or have low literacy skills and low receptive or expressive communication skills I greatly appreciate the color pictures, simple directions and icon supported text.
